THE SCENE GANG HAS HAD QUITE AN eventful few weeks; between galas and cocktail mixers, toy drives and Holiday parties it is amazing that we even found time to open up the gifts that Santa left for us.
With one of the busiest philanthropic seasons behind us we look forward to the first quarter of 2012 and have noticed that the 2nd weekend of January is kicking off our 2012 social calendar.
So, get on the treadmill and work off that holiday weight, you’re going to want to squeeze into your best attire for these.
IGNITE the NITE 2012 When: Thursday, January 12th Doors open at 6 PM Where: EpiCenter at Artists for Humanity 100 West 2nd Street, Fort Point, Boston Ticket Price: $25 - $500 A night that benefits Boston GLOW, IGNITE the NITE is an evening of local wines and brews served by our cities most beloved bartenders, small plates from renowned area chefs, live music by City of Squares and a silent auction featuring artwork, event tickets, hotel stays and more in support of Glow’s mission to foster women of all ages.IGNITE the NITE specifically supports GLOW’s program to give teen girls in underprivileged area schools the opportunity to use their voices to promote local actionable change.

“HomeGoods presents An Intimate Evening with Pedro Martinez and Friends” includes cocktails, dinner, and a Q&A session with the former pitcher and friends on Friday, Jan. 13, 6:30 – 10:30 p.m., at the Liberty Hotel. The evening will include a silent auction, live auction, signed memorabilia, and photographs with Pedro.
Event proceeds will benefit the Jimmy Fund and the Pedro Martinez and Brothers Foundation. A limited number of tickets are available.
3rd Annual Mezzi Foundation Charity Date Auction & Silent Auction
When: Saturday, January 12th Doors open at 7 PM

The Mezzi Foundation will be hosting its third annual charity date auction.Three rooms of fun in one night; mingle, meet great people, have drinks and enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres. A date auction to take place in room one, room two will feature a silent auction and room three will provide makeovers, massages and much more. First 50 people to purchase tickets will receive a complimentary gift bag and 1 entry into your choice of our various raffles. All Proceeds go to the Mezzi Foundation Projects in Haiti.

Make Noise 3
When: Sunday, January 15th Doors open at 7 PM
Where: House of Blues

Reach out, speak out and move at the “Make Noise to Save a Life” fundraiser and party at the House of Blues Boston on Sunday, January 15, 2012. This high-energy event features local DJ superstar, Joe Bermudez, who will have just returned to the Bay State from touring with chart-topper Avicii and will raise awareness and funds for Samaritans, a local suicide prevention and support organization that serves the greater Boston and Metrowest communities.
Suicide is a silent crisis. Family and friends affected by suicide often suffer quietly and alone. To combat that, this night on the dance floor at House of Blues will be an opportunity to get together with friends during the winter break and move to some great music. Winter white attire is encouraged. Tickets are on sale now through LiveNation.
