As gala season kicks off, some suggestions on where the scene will be (while giving back of course)...
THE GOOD BELLY PROJECT IN SUPPORT OF UNICEF WHEN:
Sunday October 16 – November 16th, 2011
WHERE:
Various restaurants in the Boston area
COST:
Free
If you’re a foodie, like I’m a foodie, than quite frequently you might snap a picture of your meal and upload it to a friend to make them jealous they aren’t enjoying the delicious sliders that were just placed before you. If you are one of these people than I encourage you to participate in The Good Belly Project. If you are not one of these people than get in the habit because The Good Belly Project is an easy way to support UNICEF and fill bellies of famished families in East Africa.
The Good Belly Project partners with restaurants in the Boston area and uses a popular photo sharing app called Instagram to fill bellies. When you eat at a Good Belly Restaurant, take pictures of your meal with Instagram. Tag the photos #goodbellyproject and set the restaurant as your location. Then share these photos and encourage others to support Good Bellies too. The more photos you take the more bellies you feed. Because for every photo you post, the restaurant will donate $1. All the proceeds will go to East Africa to help with famine.
