Temporary lip tattoo trend

WE’VE ALL HEARD OF HENNA TATTOOS, and I don’t know one person that never experimented with fake cartoon tattoos as a kid. But now there’s a new kind of temporary tattoo on the market; and this type doesn’t go on your arm or your ankle- it’s for your lips! Everyone’s doing it- ok, maybe not everyone; but stars like Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Snooki, and Kylie Jenner have been spotted wearing flags, cheetah print, and even checkered prints as wild lip tattoos. It’s a fun new way for fashionistas and makeupistas alike to show off their creative flair in a whole new kind of way.
This new kind of temporary tattoo was created by a brand called Violent Lips. The brand features a wide selection of designs like polka dots, glitter, rainbow, cheetah print in a variety of different colors, and even fishnets. These FDA-approved lip tattoos life span lasts from 4 to 8 hours, and they’re easy to apply too, just like any other kind of temporary tattoo. The lips just need to be bare of any other type of gloss or lipstick. They won’t leave a dent in your wallet either, with lip tattoos ranging from $10 to $15 in price. And each temporary fashionable tattoo has been printed on a film in order to adjust to fit the lips of user perfectly. Pucker up!
Now would I wear these funky lips out in the town on Saturday night? Probably not, and I’m not sure how “kissable” this trend is- but it will definitely make for some photo shoot fun, or make you the center of attention at your next theme party. Whether you’re trying these on for fun or making a statement; you aren’t alone- in addition to being worn by famous faces, this Hollywood makeup trend has also appeared in fashion and beauty editorials in several different magazines.
